Lady Saints fall to Parklane

Trinity Episcopal High’s softball season completed its regular season with a 21-11 loss to Parklane here Tuesday.
The Lady Saints finished the season 10-3, with two of those losses coming to Parklane.
The other loss was to Amite School Center Monday.
&uot;We lost to two good teams the last two days and we needed to play somebody good,&uot; said Trinity assistant coach Rick Kirby. &uot;The first time we played Parklane we didn’t hit the ball at all. This time we hit it, but they hit it better.&uot;
Haley Hinton led the Lady Saints with a home run and two singles.
Dottie Smith added two singles and a double.
Sara Greer doubled and singled for Trinity.
Collecting two singles each were Jessica Tannehill and Krista Mophett.
Parklane won the junior varsity game 11-2.
Ashley Kingsafer and Greer had a single each for the only base hits in the game for the Lady Saints.
Trinity begins South State A Tournament action at Huntington High in Ferriday, La., Saturday.
The Lady Saints meet the winner of the Woodland Hills-Tensas game Saturday at 9:10 a.m.
