NATCHEZ — The courtyard at Callon Petroleum Company will be a Christmas wonderland tonight.
The annual Caroling at Callon will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. feature Alvin Shelby and the Holy Family Church choir and the Cathedral High School.
Event coordinator Tammy Rouse said the event, which has been hosted each year for approximately 10 years, is one to which she and others look forward.
“I know I love it, and I know there are a lot of people, families, that come each year,” she said. “It is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit.”
Rouse said Callon began organizing the event as a way of bringing the community together during the holiday season.
“Callon is very community oriented and always has been,” Rouse said. “This is an event, not just for (Callon) employees, but for the entire community.”
The family-friendly event will feature traditional carols and song. Light refreshments of hot chocolate, apple cider and cookies will be served and Santa will make a stop in the Miss-Lou giving out candy canes to those in attendance.
Rouse said when Santa arrives, people will have the opportunity to take pictures with the him.
In the event of rain, Rouse said the caroling will move to the foyer of the Natchez Convention Center on Canal Street.
