MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Glen Oaks (43-21) Community College of Michigan took advantage of three Wolfpack errors in the bottom of the seventh to plate seven unearned runs and take an 11-9 lead that they would not relinquish at the NJCAA Division II World Series Tuesday.

The loss by Co-Lin eliminated the Wolves from the World Series. Co-Lin lost to Iowa Central in the first game of the tournament, but bounced back with two straight wins before falling Tuesday.

Co-Lin cut the lead to 11-10, but that was as close as they would get as the Vikings scored five in the eighth for a 16-10 victory.

Copiah-Lincoln finishes the season 47-17, the most wins ever by a Wesson team.

Glen Oaks had five hitters with multiple hits led by leadoff batter Tyler Fullenkamp who went 3-for-4 with a run, 3 RBI, and two hit by pitches. Mike Voyles, Mike McCallister, Scott Hostetler, and Jeremy Delcamp each had two hits for the Vikings.

Co-Lin was led by leadoff hitter Edison Lee, who reached base all five times as he went 4-for-4 with a walk, four runs, and two RBI. Lance Newman was 3-for-5 for the Wolfpack with two runs scored and Lance Newman had four RBI.

David Collins (6-1) came in to pick up the victory, while David Olson picked up his second save of the tournament. Jay Foster (5-1) took the loss for Co-Lin, allowing seven unearned runs in 3 and a third innings.

Logan had a single in three at bats. He scored on of Co-Lin’s first runs on a double steal.

Doug Atkins of Natchez pitched the final inning for the Wolves, allowing two hits, retiring four batters.

Glen Oaks advances to take on the loser of Lincoln Land and Iowa Central.

In Monday’s game, with the score tied at 7-7 and one out, Logan drew a walk, stole second and third base, and scored on a ground ball to the first baseman to give the Wolfpack an 8-7 victory.

Carl Albert was unable to mount another rally in the bottom of the eleventh and finish their season with a 32-26 record.
