Trio competing at MPSA All-Star game

Jason Wimberly and Hayden Wadsworth, both of Adams County Christian School, and Hunter Dale of Trinity are competing in the MPSA All-Star Baseball Game today at Mississippi College in Clinton.
Wimberly and Wadsworth will be competing for the South 3A-4A team. Dale will be competing for 1A-2A squad.
The 3A-4A game will be at 2 p.m. today. The 1A game will follow.
Wimberly, who signed a baseball scholarship with Meridian Community College, was 10-1 on the mound for the Rebels , striking out 88 over 70 innings.
Wadsworth, who signed a football scholarship with the University of Louisiana-Monroe, batted .286 with eight doubles and seven home runs.
Wadsworth also played in the MPSA all-star football game.
Dale hit .407 for the Saints and was also 7-2 on the mound with a 1.72 earned run average.
ACCS and Trinity advanced to the state playoffs. The Saints lost in the first round, while the Rebels advanced to the state semifinals.
