NATCHEZ — Services for Katherine McKnight Warfield Franklin, 68, of Santa Ana, Calif., who departed her earthly home Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, will be at noon Saturday at Zion Flower Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Howard officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at noon today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Franklin was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Natchez, the daughter of Sam and Beulah McKnight.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Helen Johnson; and four brothers, Samuel McKnight, Jessie McKnight, Charlie McKnight and Henry McKnight.

Katherine leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Diane Wilson of Moreno Valley, Calif.; three sons, William Warfield Jr., Kenzel Warfield and Frederick Warfield of Oakland, Calif.; one brother, Julius McKnight and wife, Agnes, of Natchez; three sisters, Alma Myles, Shelia McKnight and Barbara McClain and husband, Edgar, all of Natchez; two aunts, Mable Dunbar and Rosie Lee Washington, both of Natchez; two uncles, Willie McNeil and James McNeil, both of Natchez; three sisters-in-law, Ernestine McKnight, Ethel Mae McKnight and Freddie Mae McKnight, all of Natchez; one brother-in-law, Edward Johnson of Natchez; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.
