About 48,900 without power as Isaac swipes Miss.

JACKSON (AP) — Utility companies said Wednesday night they were working to restore power to about 48,900 customers in south and central Mississippi including approximately 3,000 Entergy customers in Adams County as of 10:15 p.m.
Most of the outages Wednesday were in the three coastal counties and other areas hardest hit by Isaac.
Entergy Mississippi had nearly 9,900 outages.
Electric power associations, which primarily serve rural customers, had 38,000. That figure includes 19,705 outages for customers served by Coast Electric Power Association.
Mississippi Power Co. had reported about 10,000 outages, with most of those in Harrison County.
