NATCHEZ — Flakes began falling in Natchez at approximately 6 p.m. and are expected to continue off-and-on until 1 a.m.

Minimal accumulation is predicted, but up to one inch is expected to fall in the Miss-Lou.

Temperatures, which are expected to dip to 31 degrees overnight, are predicted to hit 49 degrees by this afternoon.

Amelia Conn, 12, spent a few moments Friday night playing in the snow on Main Street near the Natchez Christmas tree.

“Hopefully I’m going to catch (a snowflake) in my mouth,” Amelia said after several failed attempts.
