Grave robbing? Natchez man arrested, charged with selling headstones he never produced

NATCHEZ — A Natchez businessman accused of selling grave headstones and then never producing them has been arrested following an investigation by Mississippi Attorney General’s Public Integrity Division.
Dwight Gibson, 45, 2119 Second St., was booked into the Adams County jail Monday on two counts of felony false pretense.
He was released on a $100,000 bond Tuesday.
The owner of Clear Creek Monuments, Gibson is alleged to have sold cemetery monuments and then never delivered them, according to a spokeswoman with the attorney general’s office.
Each count Gibson is charged with carries with it the possibility of 10 years prison time.
The attorney general’s office encourages anyone who purchased merchandise from Gibson and did not receive to contact Investigator Roger Cribb at 601-942-9824.
