&uot;I feel real good about our chances,&uot; said Natchez coach Douglas Mazique. &uot;We’ve got a good group of players who can play several positions, which makes us strong, especially Marques Kinds and Leon Stewart. With both of those guys leading us, I think we will fare well. We just can’t get into that loser’s bracket.&uot;

The teams from the coast will be determined today. The winner of the tournament advances to a regional tournament in D’Iberville.

&uot;All&160;I know is that we want to be in Florida,&uot; Mazique said. &uot;That’s where the national tournament is.&uot;

The Natchez Jennings 13-14 All-Stars will compete at 3 p.m. Saturday against an unnamed opponent.

&uot;I think we can win it all,&uot; said Natchez Junior League coach Harrison Knight. &uot;We’ve got some good kids and most of them played on the all-star team last year. We’ve got good strong kids and a lot of speed. These kids are enthusiastic and work real hard.&uot;

Two teams from the Gulf Coast and Hattiesburg are also competing in the tournament.

&uot;Hattiesburg beat us by one run twice last year,&uot;&160;Knight said. &uot;We plan on beating them this year.&uot;

The winner of the Junior League Tournament advances to a national tournament in Oklahoma.
