Carrie Fountain
–Dec. 28, 1946 – July 27, 2000
WOODVILLE – Services for Carrie Fountain, 53, of Woodville, who died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Catchings Clinic, will be held at noon Monday at Magnolia Baptist Church with the Rev. R. Sullivan officiating.
Burial will be at Cedar Rest Cemetery under the direction of Webb and Webb Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fountain was born Dec. 28, 1946, in Lessley to Arthur and Amelia Fountain.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy McFarland and Janice Fountain; one son-in-law, Curtis McFarland Sr.; three grandchildren, Curtis McFarland Jr., Tamara S. McFarland and Jacelia Fountain; one brother, Mules Fountain; two sister, June A. Veals and Jennifer Conrad; and one friend, Jackson Montgomery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Minnie Williams Owings
–Dec. 18, 1917 – July 29, 2000
Services for Minnie Williams Owings, 82, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Herrington officiating.
Burial will be at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Owings was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Equality, Ill., to James B. and Effie Jane Atkinson Gordon.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Eugene Williams; her second husband, Joseph H. Owings; and one son, James B. Williams.
Survivors include one son, Robert Charles Williams of Natchez; three grandchildren, Franklin Eugene Williams, Margaret Elizabeth Nations and James C. Williams; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jessie B. Gordon of Jonesville, La.; three sisters, Ann Marie Booth of Harrisonburg, La., and Alma Ludene Wiley and Georgie Irene Strang, both of Jonesville; and a number of nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Funeral arrangements for Thornton Thomas, 82, who died Friday, July 28, 2000, in Claiborne County, are incomplete at Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
Louise Guido

Services for Louise Guido, 70, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Laird Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Guido was born May 4, 1930, in Natchez to Jadie S. and Amy Williams Maxie.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Guido; one son, Pete F. Guido of Port Gibson; one daughter, Virginia Prevost of Houston; three grandchildren, Kimberly Prevost, Todd Guido and David Mock; three great-grandchildren, Samantha Guido, Gabriella Guido and Braden Guido; two brothers, Oren Maxie of Clarksdale and Benjamin Burman of New Orleans; and two sisters, Lois King of Covington, La., and Juanita Dutruch of Natchez.
Elizabeth Phillips Hyatt
–April 24, 1918 – July 26, 2000
Graveside services for Elizabeth Phillips Hyatt, 82, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 26, 2000 at Natchez Community Hospital, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Cupit officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hyatt was born April 24, 1918, in Sunflower to Ed and Irene Partain Phillips.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hyatt, and one son, Larry Hyatt.
Survivors include one son, David Galer of Natchez; two daughters, Bobbie Danner of Natchez and Linda Gail &uot;Jackie&uot; Everhart of Vidalia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Oswalt of Indianola.
Frank Patrick Byrne Sr.
Services for Frank Patrick Byrne Sr., 62, of Natchez, who died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Minor Basilica.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
