Natchez 11-12 team wins again in state tournament

The Natchez 11-12 year old All Star team got another strong pitching performance to win 8-1 over Clarksdale Tuesday night.
Cory Walker pitched a complete game and struck out 13 batters.
The win leaves Natchez the only undefeated team in the state tournament.
Natchez jumped out on top early scoring five runs in the first inning.
Three of the runs came on a Wesley Davis triple.
Natchez picked up three more runs in the third inning.
A Cole Bradford double plated one of the runs and two others were scored on walks.
Walker’s 13 strikeouts is the second double-digit-strikeout performance in a row for Natchez.
Timmy Foster set a state tournament record by striking out 16 batters Sunday night.
Natchez will now face Yazoo City tonight at 8 p.m.
