Bird Watchers

&uot;There’s a cuckoo!&uot; one birdwatcher exclaimed as a dozen pair of binoculars veered in the direction of the songbird’s call. That was one of many bird sightings at St. Catherine Creek National Wildlife Refuge Saturday as birdwatchers flocked to the annual Birdwatching Festival. Stevens, former president of the Jackson Audubon Society said the Birdlife Festival is one way for people to see one of the state’s &uot;birdwatching hot spots.&uot;
