The pilots of two crop dusting planes that collided while trying to land at Angelina Seed near Deer Park Tuesday walked away from the crash, officials said. Wayne Holland, a Jonesville area resident, was piloting one of the airplanes and received only minor injuries. The name of the other pilot, who received chemical burns and some cuts, was not available Tuesday afternoon. Both men were taken to Natchez Regional Medical Center for treatment. Tommy Elliott of Angelina Seed said the Federal Aviation Administration was investigating the accident late Tuesday and would continue investigating today. &uot; They’re lucky they walked away from it,&uot; Elliott said of the accident, which happened at about 1:30 p.m. Above, Matthew Keppinger III, assistant commissioner of agricultural and environmental sciences for the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, looks over still-smoldering wreckage of the planes.
