FAYETTE — Services for James Stanley Carter, 44, of Fayette, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenleaf Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Carter was born May 9, 1968, in Jefferson County, the son of Jimmie Carter and Geraldine M. Crawford.

He was a technician, a member and deacon at Greenleaf Baptist Church.

Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shevondina Crawford.

Survivors include two sons, James Stanley Carter Jr. of Natchez and Devin Thomas of Fayette; five brothers, Calcin Crawford, Leslie Crawford, Timothy Crawford, L. Johnathan Crawford and Jeremiah Crawford; four sisters, Orelia Washington, Tyorlean Crawford, York Crawford and Corvetta Crawford; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
