RIDGELAND — Anna Babb’s first goal was not enough for Adams County Christian School as the Lady Rebels fell to Veritas School 2-1 Wednesday evening.
Babb scored her goal early in the second half, but ACCS was unable to generate much offense despite a strong defensive effort in the second half.
ACCS trailed 2-0 at halftime, and head coach Jimmy Allgood said he was pleased that his girls were able to ramp up the defense in the second.
“We had probably 20 shots on goal in the second half thanks to the defense,” Allgood said. “I feel like our girls are finally starting to click coming into the second half of district play.”
ACCS (3-5) will host Oak Forest Academy next Wednesday.
