NATCHEZ — Jeff Waller of Summit has been selected to receive the Association of Small Business Development Centers’ State Star Award for Mississippi.

Waller is director of the Small Business Development Center at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Waller has offices at the Natchez campus, but serves all of the 11 counties in the Co-Lin District.

Waller is scheduled to receive the award at the national conference of the association in San Antonio, Texas, in September.

“The biggest thrill I get is the successful startup or expansion of a business that can sustain operations because of the counseling received by the MSBDC, and the pride of saying, I helped that business, and that business, and that business,” Waller said.

He began working at Co-Lin’s Small Business Development Center in 2001.
