OXFORD — Visitation for Jean Truly Sichi, 92, who died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, was Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford.

Born in Versailles, Ken., Mrs. Sichi had lived in the Oxford area for 10 years after moving to Azalea Gardens from San Antonio, Texas.

Mrs. Sichi was a retired nurse, having served as a captain in the U.S. Army. She had an avid interest in studying science, especially geology.

Mrs. Sichi was also an accomplished painter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Louise Truly and her husband, William T. Sichi.

Survivors include two brothers, Richard M. Truly and wife, June, of Oxford and Jeff P. Truly of Jackson; and two nieces, Whitney Truly Clark and husband, Matt, of Oxford and Marilyn Truly of Natchez.
