COUSHATTA, La. – The Huntington Hounds handed winless Riverdale another loss Friday with a 23-0 win.
&uot;We didn’t do much at the beginning,&uot; said Huntington head coach Gerald Reeves. &uot;We were flat. We started moving the ball better in the second half, though.&uot;
Hounds quarterback Barrett Arthur scored first on an 18-yard run in the second quarter.
Kenneth Clayton added a 4-yard run in the third quarter, and Patrick Clayton scored on a 37-yard run two minutes later.
Patrick Clayton led the team in rushing with 76 yards on 14 carries.
Reeves said he wanted to use this game to give a few of his younger players some experience.
&uot;I think we did that,&uot; he said. &uot;All of our back-ups saw a lot of playing time.&uot;
