VIDALIA — Twelve Concordia Parish residents are behind bars Friday after a joint investigation with local and federal agencies rounded up several suspected drug dealers.

Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick said the Concordia Narcotics Task Force and U.S. Marshals recovered powdered cocaine, crack cocaine, an assortment of prescription drugs, synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia during the arrests made Thursday night.

“We’ve been taking a strong stand against drugs in this community and these arrests are a good example of the hard work of our task force and the marshals,” Hedrick said. “Our main goal is to get these drugs off the streets.”
