CHA finishes season with a bang

Wesley Purvis ran for 210 yards and four touchdowns to lead Chamberlain-Hunt to a 50-20 win over Riverdale at homecoming Friday night at Port Gibson.
Purvis scored on runs of 29 and 13 yards in the first quarter, 12 yards in the third quarter and 23 yards in the fourth quarter.
The Wildcats gained 318 of their 405 yards of offense on the ground while its defense held the Rebels to 233 total offensive yards and forced five turnovers.
Quarterback Daniel McFatter threw three touchdown passes, one for 49 yards to A.J. Star in the first quarter and two in the second quarter, one for eight yards to Cass Dodgen and the other for 28 yards to Dee Polk.
One of Riverdale’s few bright spots in the game was an 89-yard kickoff return to start the third quarter by Colby Rushing.
