Natchez woman shot after domestic dispute

A domestic dispute Monday night left a Natchez woman shot in the neck and her ex-boyfriend in jail.
Natchez Police responded to a shots fired call at 97 E. Oak St. at 8:02 p.m.
Officers found Regina Starks, 25, on the front porch of her house, shot once in the neck.
Starks was transported to Natchez Regional Medical Center where she was being treated late Monday.
Police believe the shooting happened after Starks got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend, Reginald Butler, 37, of 8 Old Courthouse Road.
&uot;He came by her house threatening and arguing,&uot; said Natchez Police Chief Willie Huff.&160;&uot;He tried to get into the residence when a tussle ensued.&uot;
Butler fled the scene after the shooting, Huff said. Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted Butler’s vehicle on U.S. 61 near Washington and turned him over to the police.
Butler has been charged with aggravated assault and was being held pending arraignment.
