CLAYTON — A man from Clayton died early this morning when he crashed the ATV he was riding.

James R. Keene, 22, was riding east on Prince Road in Catahoula Parish at approximately 2 a.m. when he lost control and slightly exited the road to the left, a Louisiana State Police spokesman said. He over corrected, veering to the right side before overturning.

He was not wearing a helmet and was ejected during the crash. He was riding a 2011 Honda ATV.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
