ROCKFORD, Ill. — Services for Patricia Ann Nelson Jones, 47, of Arlington Heights, Ill., who died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Provena Mercy Center after a sudden illness, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home in Rockford, Ill.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born Nov. 5, 1964, in Natchez, the daughter of Herman Lee Nelson Sr., and Camelia Nelson. She was a former member of St. Paul Church of God In Christ in Rockford and Daughters Temple Baptist Church in Natchez.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Genora Dorsey; and one nephew, Lendrick Burnside.

Survivors include her husband, John Jones; one son, Kyler Nelson; three sisters, Canary Grantham and husband, Napoleon, Dorothy Burnside and Shirley Hunt and huhsband, Clinton; five brothers, John Nelson and wife, Dorothy, Tommie Nelson, Lee Nelson, Henderson Nelson and wife, Linda, and Herman Nelson Jr. and wife, Linda Faye; one uncle, Edgar Dunmore and wife, Lillian; two sisters-in-law, Virginia and Loretta; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
