MONTEREY — Services for Walter Willson Duncan, 43, of Monterey, who died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in Alexandria, will be at 10 a.m. today at New Era Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Baker officiating.

Burial will follow at Achilles Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Duncan was born Aug. 23, 1968, in Natchez, the son of Walter and Mary Amelia Duncan. He was a lifelong resident of Monterey and was a member of Monterey Baptist Church.

Will was an oil field superintendent with Bayou Resources, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents, Walter and Nathalie Duncan and Yank and Maurice Willson.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Duncan; one son, Riley Duncan; one daughter, Natalee Duncan; his father and his wife, Adalene; one brother, Yankie Duncan and wife, Sheila; one nephew, Yankie Lee Duncan; and one niece, Jody Duncan, all of Monterey.

Pallbearers will be Bret Beard, Jeff Geoggle, Jesse Poole, Jody Greene, Kevin Burley, Kyle Wilson, Robin Willson, Ryan Thompson and Van Strebeck.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben King, Bubba Ames, Kevin Flowers, Pinkie Newcomb, Red Tiffee, T.D. Pugh, Riley Calhoun, Price Gallup and Zack Calhoun.
