MEADVILLE – A Meadville woman died early Monday in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 84.

Debra Lee Dendy, 39, died at the scene, said Franklin County Sheriff James Newman.

The accident took place about three miles west of Meadville just after 4 a.m. Dendy lost control of the truck she was driving. The truck slid into the median and flipped over several times, Newman said.

Both Dendy and a passenger, Theresa Lofton, were thrown from the truck. Lofton was treated and released at an area hospital, Newman said.
