NATCHEZ — The Adams County Board of Supervisors met Monday to interview three candidates for the position of county information technology director.

President Darryl Grennell said the supervisors voted to hire one of the applicants, but declined to name who it was because the applicant had not yet been contacted.

The supervisors voted earlier this year to create the position of IT director after County Administrator Joe Murray pointed out to them how much IT contracts were costing the county.
