Freshman guard Gregory Ketchings led four Trinity players in double figures with 25 points as the Saints cruised to a 77-43 win over the Tensas Chiefs Tuesday night at the Clyde Adams Arena on the Trinity Episcopal campus.

Ketchings also had six rebounds, seven steals, two three-pointers and was 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.

&uot;Gregory was excellent offensively and defensively,&uot; Saints head coach David King said. &uot;This was his best game as a freshman.&uot;

Another freshman had a huge game for Trinity.

Guard Chase Brown had a triple-double for Trinity with 12 points, 11 steals and 10 assists to go along with six rebounds and a blocked shot. Junior guard Chad Ridley and sophomore forward Mike Lickliter each had a double-double. Ridley had 12 points and 14 rebounds to go along with four steals, 3-for-4 shooting from the free-throw line and a blocked shot.

Lickliter had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

&uot;Chase and Ridley had their usual solid games,&uot; King said. &uot;Lickliter was tough on the boards.&uot;

After Tensas (3-3) scored the first two points of the game, Trinity scored the next 12 points and appeared well on its way to an easy win.

But the Chiefs answered with a 15-5 run to tie the game at 17 early in the second quarter.

That, however, was the closest Tensas got to regaining the lead for the rest of the game despite hitting eight three-pointers, four by senior Daniel Mascagni, who led the Chiefs with a double-double of his own with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Trinity (4-1), using a full-court, zone and at times man-to-man defense, wore down Tensas and forced numerous turnovers that the Saints capitalized on.

&uot;This team thrives on defense,&uot; King said. &uot;These kids work really, really hard every day.&uot;

Trinity next plays in the Silliman Tournament Nov. 27-Dec. 2.
