Bass had 13 points (eight in the first quarter) and 10 rebounds to go along with four steals, a blocked shot and 3-for-4 shooting from the free-throw line.
Tanner had 14 points and 12 rebounds to go along with one steal and a blocked shot.
Junior forward Ashley Kingsafer added nine points, six rebounds, two steals, a blocked shot and one three-pointer.
&uot;My girls worked hard tonight,&uot; said Lady Saints head coach Melanie Hall. &uot;Our defense did really well tonight. At times, we were sloppy in transition.&uot;
The key factors in the game were free-throw shooting and fouls.
Trinity (9-1) hit 8-of-14 free throws while committing only seven fouls. Tensas did not even go to the line and committed 12 fouls.
The Lady Saints dominated the Lady Chiefs through the first three quarters of play, outscoring them 15-6 in the first quarter, 15-5 in the second quarter and 16-7 in the third quarter.
Late in the third quarter, Coach Hall took her starters out and put in her bench players.
&uot;I was pleased that I got to play all my players tonight,&uot; she said.
Even though Tensas outscored Trinity 15-4 in the fourth quarter, the 28-point deficit was too much to overcome.
Senior Kate Hawkins led Tensas (1-7) with a double-double of her own — 10 points and 13 rebounds.
In the junior high girls game, Tensas defeated Trinity 29-20. Sarah Visard and Lyndsay Hendrix each had eight points to lead Tensas.
Mallory Archer led Trinity with nine points.
Trinity’s varsity girls next play in the Silliman Tournament on Nov. 27-Dec. 2.
