Good morning Natchez!
I hope those who started school last week are off to a great start and those preparing for a new school year are doing so with excitement. On behalf of the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, I would like to cordially invite you to a reception welcoming new administrators of schools in our community.
The reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in the Nelson Multi-purpose Room.
Our guests of honor will be Dr. Frederick Hill, superintendent of the Natchez-Adams School District, David King, headmaster of Adams County Christian School and Les Hegwood, headmaster of Trinity Episcopal Day School.
Of course, our veteran headmaster, Mr. Pat Sanguinetti of Cathedral School, will be with us as well. These gentlemen have agreed to take on a great responsibility — the education and care of the children of our community. Our children deserve the best education we can provide, and we should support the leaders of all of our schools to the best of our ability.
That has been the goal of the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee.
Our mission is to focus on and strengthen the relationship between education and the business community and to coordinate supportive activities that result in a better educational climate in Natchez and Adams County.
We have an outstanding group of members who work together to assist in any way we can. This reception is just one way to say welcome to our community and to our schools!
I would also like to thank the generous sponsors of this reception. Thank you for your continued support of the education efforts in our community.
Teresa Busby is the vice president of the Natchez Campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the chairman of the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee.
