Santa’s sleigh bears good news

Santa’s made his list and checked it at least once by now, and we are quite sure the Miss-Lou has been good enough for a few goodies later this week.
Our community made many good headlines last week, and since Santa subscribes to The Democrat, he knows all about it.
But, for the rest of us, let’s review some of that good news.
4 Robert Hargon earned his Eagle Scout rank in record speed, completing the necessary steps in three years and leading a project at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. Congratulations to Hargon; we appreciate your work.
4 Natchez Police officers got an early start Saturday, but they weren’t chasing criminals. Police picked up youngsters for breakfast and a shopping spree as part of the annual Santa Cop program. The day was funding by community donations and surely made lasting memories for all participants.
4 Nearly 70 students received diploma’s from Louisiana Technical College-Shelby M. Jackson Campus Thursday at it’s annual graduation ceremonies. These students are now well qualified to seek work or further their educations. Congratulations on your achievement so far.
4 Concordia Parish Dance Studio students presented Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” this weekend, to the delight of audiences in Ferriday. The dancers have worked hard, and we are glad they shared their art with the public.
With Santa on his way, we’ll all be on our best behavior, and that means more good news is on the way.
