NATCHEZ — Two alleged drug dealers were reportedly desperate enough to get rid of evidence Tuesday that they tossed the proceeds of their sale out their vehicle window.

Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said Metro Narcotics Agents conducted an undercover operation at a local motel where Michael Carter, 25, 56 1/2 E. Oak St., and Roderick Brady, 22, no address provided, allegedly sold the undercover agents suspected marijuana and cocaine.

“We tried to initiate a traffic stop, and when we attempted to pull them over, they ran (away) in a vehicle,” Mayfield said. “Myself and another deputy were able to cut them off and get them to stop.”

While fleeing, Carter and Brady allegedly threw suspected drug money out the windows of the vehicle, Mayfield said. Metro Narcotics agents later recovered the money.

Brady was charged with acting in concert of sale of marijuana and acting in concert of sale of powder cocaine. His bond was set at $10,000.

Carter was booked on charges of sale of controlled substance — marijuana, sale of counterfeit substance, felony fleeing and contempt of court — default in payment of restitution. His bond was set at $45,000.
