NATCHEZ — Services for Earl Edward Wade, 89, of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Promise Hospital in Vicksburg, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Curtis Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Mr. Wade was born July 3, 1923, in Adams County, the son of Ezekel and Mamie Butler Wade. He attended Brumfield High School and was a retired custodian.
Mr. Wade served in the military and served as an usher at Rose Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margerite Wade; and three brothers, Leon, James and Thomas Wade.
Survivors include one brother, Wilbert Wade and wife, Birdie, of Natchez; four cousins, Carrie Myles of Natchez, Winnie Brown and husband, Charles, and Joe Louis Thomas, all of Ferriday and Alexander Thomas and wife, Naomi, of Temple, Texas; two nieces, Angela Fells of Natchez and Devona Wade of St. Louis, Mo.; and three nephews, Darnell Wade and wife, Trenica, of St. Louis, Thomas R. Wade of Natchez and James M. Pharr of Washington, D.C.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
