The Trinity Lady Saints begin their quest for a state title

at 4 p.m. today at University Christian School in Jackson.

The team, which fell just short of the South State title Saturday,

will play Central Holmes Academy in the first round of the MPSA

state tournament. Trinity is the No. 2 seed.

The Lady Saints fell two points shy of a South State championship

Saturday after a 46-44 loss to Riverdale in the final round of

the tournament in Monroe, La.

If the Lady Saints win today’s game, they face Heidelburg Academy

at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the next round of the tournament.
