Adams Christian wins Huntington tourney

Led by Johnathan Haley’s round of 76, Adams County Christian School won the 2001 Huntington Golf Invitational by an astounding 30 shots Tuesday at Panola Woods Country Club in Ferriday.
Haley’s 76 was also good enough to win the low medalist award. Teammate Trey Isabell shot an 86 that got him the third-place award for low medalist.
Overall, ACCS finished with a score of 373, way ahead of Wilkinson County Christian Academy, which finished with a score of 403.
George Johnson shot an 89 and Jacob Townley had a 100 to lead WCCA. Host team Huntington was third with an overall score of 414. Josh Johns had a round of 99 and Wil Miller fired a 102.
