Despite the rain, Jack Phillips, left, a Cherokee elder from Tennessee, and Lyle Prouse of the Comanche Tribe from Conyers, Ga., dance in an exhibition of Native American dances on Saturday afternoon at the 13th annual Natchez Powwow. After the dancing ended, the rest of the afternoon’s activities were cancelled because of the rain, but the event continues today at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians.
