It didn’t matter that it happened in the Natchez Coach Pitch championship game, or that it is one of the most rare accomplishments in sports. For six-year-old short stop Dylan Pressgrove of United Mississippi Bank it really was very simple.

&uot;I just caught the ball, tried to tag out the guy coming from second, and ran over to second base and got the other out,&uot; Pressgrove said.

The unassisted triple play came at a big moment for UMB, who was trailing 5-3 before rallying for a 18-10 win in the first game of a double header on Monday at Duncan Park.

&uot;I told him (Dylan) to enjoy that play, you might not even get a chance to see another one on TV in the future,&uot; Dylan’s father Cap Pressgrove said.

His coach was also quite impressed with the play.

&uot;You don’t run into many kids like that – who have that kind of awareness of what’s going on,&uot; UMB coach Al Hall said. &uot;Some would have been proud to just have caught that kind of ball. He’s playing like a major leaguer.&uot;
