Man killed in Catahoula Parish car crash

HARRISONBURG — One man was killed and a teenager injured Monday night in a two-car crash in Catahoula Parish.
Louisiana State Police responded to the scene at 7:50 p.m. to find a 1989 Ford Mustang driven by Leslie G. Cotton, 50, and a 1996 Nissan pickup, driven by Kalub L. Holley, 18, had collided.
Cotton reportedly crossed the center line of Louisiana 8. He was traveling west when he lost control, a state police spokesman said.
The Nissan was traveling east.
Cotton of Pineville was pronounced dead at the scene. Holley of Aimwell received serious injuries and was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
