SULPHUR, La. — The Concordia Dixie Youth 13-year-old All-Stars concluded pool play at the state tournament with a 21-0 loss to Bossier City in a mere two innings Sunday morning.
“We pitched nobody who ever pitched. We didn’t have any arms left. The umpire let us shut it down then,” Concordia coach Kevin Jenkins said. “Bossier City was the state runner-up in the 12-year-olds last year. We apologized to the other coach. Going 0-3, the pairing was that it was better set for us.”
Despite going 0-3 in pool play, Concordia automatically qualified for the top 12 and will play in the single-elimination part of the tournament today at 8:45 a.m. against the loser of the Thibodaux-Sulphur game. Jenkins said his team will most likely play Thibodaux.
There was no other information available on Sunday’s game.
