Commissioner Ray Simpson of the 14-year-old division of Natchez Dixie Youth baseball watches the Natchez All-Stars take to the old Lion’s Club field for the last time Friday evening. The field is soon to be demolished to make way for the Natchez Trace Parkway, which will be extended during the next few years to enter Liberty Road at approximately where Lissie Street intersects the road today.
