Technology knows no borders.&uot; So says Dr. Angie Dvorak, president at CEO of the Mississippi Technology Alliance. And helping Mississippi business owners explore ways to take advantage of those expanding borders is what the alliance is all about.
Farmers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, marketers … all of them can benefit in some way from the rapidly expanding technology. The result, according to the alliance, is science and technology-based economic development – a crucial tool for the state of Mississippi.
It’s also a crucial tool for Southwest Mississippi, where a call for more economic development and earnings opportunities rings out daily.
Perhaps the alliance can offer help. On Thursday, the Technology@Home Tour will be in Natchez, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Britton & Koontz First National Bank. In those two hours, Dvorak and others will explore the advancement of technology in our Southwest Mississippi communities and what that technology can mean to our lives and our futures.
Access to and utilization of technology can level the playing field in economic development for states like Mississippi – and learning to make the most of those opportunities can prove a real boon to our economic development efforts.
We encourage business owners, industry representatives, community leaders, civic leaders, educators – anyone with an interest in economic development and our future – to invest two hours on Thursday morning to learn just what technology could do for us in Southwest Mississippi.
