Jay Lessley came back from a three-shot first-round deficit with a one-over-par 73 for two-day total of 142 to win the 2001 Beau Pr\u00E9 Club Championship Sunday at the Beau Pr\u00E9 Country Club.

&uot;Long. Nothing special,&uot; said Lessley about his play in the final round. &uot;I didn’t make any big numbers. I played pretty good on the back (nine).&uot;

Lessley could have had a score similar to his 69 on Saturday, but missed birdie putts from inside 10 feet on five holes. He did, however, made a 25-foot birdie putt on the 15th hole for one of his two birdies on Sunday.

Lloyd Trisler also shot a one-over 73 to go from a tie for fifth after the first round to second place by himself with a two-day score of 145.

&uot;It (the final round) was kind of up and down,&uot; Trisler said. &uot;It started with a birdie and ended with a birdie. It was an adventure in between.&uot;

C.C. Barnes, who took the first-round lead with a six-under 66 that included nine birdies, had an 80 to finish in third place at 146.

&uot;I made one putt today and that was on 18 where I made birdie,&uot; Barnes said. &uot;I tripled 16. My tee shot landed between the fairway and the water. It took one bounce and went in the water. A frustrating day.&uot;

Robin Punches fired a 73 to finish in first place in the first flight with a two-day total of 147.

Fourteen-year-old Lee Jones won the 14-17 year-old division of the Beau Pr\u00E9 Junior Championship and came in first place in the second flight after shooting a 74 on Sunday for a total of 153.

&uot;I played better today,&uot; Jones said. &uot;I hit the ball a whole lot better.&uot;

In the 13-and-under age division, 13-year-old Jordan Farmer came back from a two-shot deficit after the first round by firing an 87 for a two-day score of 182, five shots better than first-round leader Jon Davis King.

&uot;I played pretty good,&uot; Farmer said. &uot;I played worse on the back. I hit some good iron shots and some good drives, but I didn’t putt real well.&uot;

King shot a 94 to finish second at 187.
