SICILY ISLAND — Services for Horace Chester, 82, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Promise Hospital of Miss-Lou in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church in Sicily Island.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Chester was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Sicily Island, the son of Anderson and Mary Ginne Chester.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lucille Davis, Alice Robinson and Rosa Lee Jenkins; and four brothers, David Scott, Jack Teasley, Walter Teasley and Thomas Chester.

Survivors include 10 children, Carolyn Williams, Bobbie Palmer, Lavena Chester, Horace Chester Jr., Thomas Chester, Whitney Chester, James Terry Chester, Craige Morgan, Rena Norman and Maurice Washington; one special niece, Frenchie Davis; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
