Viola Davis, cashier and clerk for The Salvation Army Thrift Store on North Canal Street, sells a skirt to Willie Mae Anders of Meadville. The store helps to raise money for the agency’s social services. Other United Way-affiliated agencies also use thrift shops as fund-raisers.
