NATCHEZ – An Adams County resident believed to have lived a double life was arrested Monday in connection with a Jackson murder.

Investigators learned of Kelvin L. Foley’s secret life during the murder investigation, said Detective Ricky Richardson with the Jackson Police Department.

&uot;When he was in Natchez he was straight and had a girlfriend with a baby, but when he came to Jackson he was gay,&uot; Richardson said.

The 19-year-old, who lived at 80 Hobo Forks Road, was charged with the May 6 death of his alleged boyfriend, Carlos Banks, 24, of Timber Ridge Apartments in South Jackson while in town visiting him, Richardson said.

Banks received multiple stab wounds and died at the scene, Richardson said.

Richardson would not comment on the motive behind the stabbing except to say officials had a &uot;good case&uot; against the suspect.

&uot;We have our man,&uot; he said.

Richardson said they waited until Monday to issue a warrant for Foley’s arrest to allow time for DNA testing.

&uot;I’ve been waiting on this case for a while and finally got what I needed,&uot; Richardson said.

Local deputies arrested Foley in a vehicle near his residence at about 2:30 p.m. Monday, said Maj. John Manley, with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

They also assisted the Jackson Police Department with the investigation, he said.

&uot;We assisted them in May of this year in (the) search of a residence,&uot; Manley said.

Deputies found weapons at the scene but not the murder weapon, Richardson said. Foley was being held without bond Monday evening on charge of murder. He will have his initial court appearance Wednesday.
