FERRIDAY — Services for Henry Schober Roberts Sr., 83, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Roberts was born May 19, 1929, in Ellisville, the son of Burlan Roberts and Ada Roberts. He was a nursing home administrator and an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Ferriday.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Forrest Roberts, Norman Roberts and Skeet Roberts.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Agnes Roberts; two daughters, Sherry Parent and husband, Bill, of Grand Bay, Ala., and Pebble Bradford and husband, Ronnie, of Ferriday; one son, Bo Roberts and wife, Sheila, of Fort Worth, Texas; one nephew, Rick Kosman and wife, Alexis, of Dallas; seven grandchildren, Billy Parent and wife, Tanya, Chris Parent and wife, Felicia, Dana Swan and husband, Paul, Ashley Prunty and husband, Ashley, Whitney Bradford and fiancé, Barrett Arthur, Trey Roberts and wife, Erica, and Sean Roberts and wife, Becca; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Parent, Chris Parent, Trey Roberts, Sean Roberts, Paul Swan, Ashley Prunty and Barrett Arthur.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or any animal charity of your choice.
