VIDOR, Texas — Services for Roland “Chief” Eugene Dossett, 93, of Vidor, Texas, who died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vidor.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor.

Mr. Dossett was a native of Hattiesburg and was a longtime resident of Vidor.

He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Dossett; two sons, Kenneth Dossett of Bartelville, Okla., and Allen Dossett of Natchez; one sister, Vera; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
