NATCHEZ — Services for Raymond Woodfork, 73, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Crown Health & Rehab Center, will be at noon Saturday at United Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Woodfork was born April 2, 1940, in Natchez, the son of Norman Woodfork and Louise Johnson.
He attended Sadie V. Thompson High School. He was retired, an electrician, and had been employed with Carl Williams, Holsum Bakery, RECO and Dyna Steel. He was a member of United Baptist Church Treasury and St. John Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Woodfork was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Tresa Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Woodfork of Natchez; seven children, Johnny Wiley of Orlando, Fla., Raymond Woodfork and wife, Lashonda, of New Orleans, Damon Woodfork and wife, Elena, of Houma, La., Michael White of Gary, Ind., Shelia Reason of Atlanta, Courtney McKnight and Zerrick Kelly, both of Natchez; one nephew he loved as a son, Barry Wilson and wife, Felicia; three brothers, John Woodfork and wife, Doretha, of Natchez, Elmer Woodfork and wife, Deloris, of Chicago and William Woodfork of Natchez; two sisters, Velma Woodfork and Violet Crossgo and husband, Ponce, all of Natchez; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a number of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Gray, Robin Harris, Brock Watson, Norman Bernard, Terry Bernard and Jerome Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be L.C. Mickell, Willard “Chicken” Sims, William Jackson Jr., Calvin Woodfork, John Keith Woodfork and Barry Wilson.
