FERRIDAY — Services for Willie K. “Honey” Howe, 89, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pentecostal of the Miss-Lou with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Howe was born Sept. 2, 1922, in Vicksburg, the son of Julius and Fannie Spratley Howe.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for International Paper and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Howe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Velma Howe; three sons, Marlon, Reginald and Ronald Howe; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn White; and one brother, Julius Howe.
Survivors include one daughter, Myra White of Baton Rouge; two sons, Arnold Howe and Donald Howe of Los Angeles; one step-son, Larry Greene of Tacoma, Wash.; one adopted sister, Delores Martin; one devoted grandson, Zachery Edwards; and one devoted friend, Arthur Johnson, all of Ferriday.
