VIDALIA &045; In a brief, special meeting, the Concordia Parish School Board passed one item of business Wednesday night.
The board passed a resolution saying Thomas H. O’Neal, director of business affairs, would be designated to oversee expenditures for the school district.
The resolution was drafted because the superintendent, Lester Peterman, retired and there is no treasurer to execute the duties.
&uot;As of yet, we haven’t been able to appoint an interim or a new superintendent,&uot; Ernest Lynn White, president of the Concordia Parish School Board said.
As a result of the resolution, all checks written from the Concordia Parish School Board accounts will bear two signatures &045; O’Neal’s, Lynn White’s or Raymond Riley, vice-president of the board.
The resolution was passed unanimously of all board members in attendance.
Board member Donald Joseph was absent.
