Alice Jackson announces the engagement of her daughter, Melody Jackson to Trevis Barnes, son of Henry Barnes and Louise Barnes, all of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Willie and Cheryl Williams of Natchez.

She is the granddaughter of the late Field and Clara Jackson of Natchez, Lottie Clark of Natchez and the late Joseph Washington of Seattle, Wash.

The groom-to-be is self-employed in Natchez.

He is the grandson of the late Andrew and Theresa Glasper, Henry Barnes Sr. and Virginia Johnson, all of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Sibley.

A reception will follow at the Shrine Hall.
